Tax Remission Orders
If all other tax appeal recourses have been exhausted, taxpayers faced with wrong tax assessments or large tax balances owing that consist largely of penalties and interest, have one last chance procedure available – the tax remission order. However requests for the remission of taxes, penalties and interest is not a matter of filling out a simple form, rather it is a drawn-out administrative process with the final decision being made by the Federal Cabinet.
