Hoang Viet Nguyen is an associate at Rotfleisch & Samulovitch P.C. He joined the firm in 2024 after completing a Juris Doctor at Osgoode Hall Law School and an MBA at the Schulich School of Business. He developed an interest in tax law through advanced coursework during his legal studies. His academic background spans multiple jurisdictions, including a Bachelor of Laws from Ho Chi Minh University of Law and a Bachelor of Business Management from Singapore Management University.
Before entering the Canadian legal profession, Hoang worked in market research and private practice in Asia, experience that gives him a globally informed and analytically grounded perspective. As a developing associate, Hoang assists across the firm’s tax practice, including CRA matters, tax appeals, and legal research, and is particularly drawn to the strategic and research-intensive nature of tax appeals.
Hoang’s guiding philosophy is simple: “People make mistakes — there are always ways to fix them.”
Outside of work, he enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and practicing performance-based Kung Fu.
