Jack Wang is a senior associate at Rotfleisch & Samulovitch P.C. (Taxpage.com). He first joined the firm as a summer student and returned as an associate after being called to the Ontario Bar in 2021. He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa, where he received the Professor Vern Krishna scholarship for strong academic achievement and demonstrated interest in income tax and business law.
Jack’s engineering foundation and Oracle-certified Java programming background reinforced the analytical and logic-based thinking that later drew him toward tax law. His practice focuses on voluntary disclosures, tax residency determinations, Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) communications, and the preparation of legal submissions in complex tax matters. Jack also works on emerging and technically demanding matters, including digital asset and cross-border tax issues. His approach emphasizes client interaction, clarity, and proactive problem-solving in sensitive tax situations.
His advice to Canadians is straightforward: “Don’t wait until the CRA contacts you when you know you have a potential tax problem.”
Outside of his legal work, Jack is a certified Usui Reiki master and enjoys reading ancient mythology and history, interests that provide a quiet counterbalance to his tax practice.
