Kevin Persaud is a senior associate at Rotfleisch & Samulovitch P.C. (Taxpage.com) and a Certified Specialist in Taxation Law, designated by the Law Society of Ontario. He began his career with the firm as an articling student and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2018.

Kevin earned his Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School, where he completed the school’s intensive tax curriculum and served as a researcher for renowned tax scholar Professor Jinyan Li. Prior to law school, he graduated with high distinction from the University of Toronto, completing an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a focus on symbolic logic and the philosophy of language.

Kevin’s practice spans the full scope of tax dispute resolution and litigation. Known for his analytical depth and calm, strategic approach, he advises and represents clients in CRA tax audits, objections, Tax Court of Canada appeals, and matters involving complex statutory interpretation. He has a particular interest in tax litigation, drawn to its strategic complexity, rigorous legal reasoning, and the opportunity to advocate for clients in high-stakes matters.

Kevin is guided by a proactive, client-focused approach to tax compliance and dispute management, often emphasizing the importance of early engagement: “Read those letters – and if you don’t understand them, seek advice from a tax professional.”

Outside of his practice, Kevin enjoys watching both critically acclaimed and unapologetically bad horror films, a light-hearted counterbalance to the demands of tax law.
